Saturday Roundup

Note the candle harpoon.

News
This'll be the last we go into Tammy Thomas case and conviction. SF Chronicle (who broke the BALCO story) Story I says Bonds should be worried; Story II/Knapp says not. Also at Bloomberg, AFP, and Reuters.

Virginia Gazette thinks the Landis case has been a wild ride, more interesting than the Tour de France has been.

Strbuk,

Happy B'day! I totally concur with racejunkie's prompting of Landis. You deserve it! By the way, mine was Thursday, but we're celebrating today with homemade blueberry pie. If you were closer, I'd invite you and Mr. Strkbuk over.

I'm not a big fan of birthday celebrations (I have no idea why, I'm just weird that way). Still, what I do appreciate are genuine comments about how people feel about me. Things like:

"You're doing a hell of a job ... keep up the good work"

OR

"You've picked a good cause to follow, it's right and it's true and you're plowing a good line"

Maybe that's why I don't like b'days ... I'm hopeless at expressing myself without sounding like a sap.

Anyway, madam, do what you enjoy today.

PAULA! Congratulations and Happy Birthday! Got any charities you'd like to have us send donations to?

Thanks to all of you for your kind words and good wishes, I second Racejunkie's suggestion, any good French champers will do nicely Floyd, though I prefer Veuve Clicquot :-)
My charity of choice would be your local Humane Society if for some reason you feel so inclined. What we did today to relax was to explore Pennsylvania ghost towns, yup we have ghost towns in the East too. Again, thanks to all of you for your heartwarming comments.

Ok, happy belated birthday and all. What I want to know is "What's up with the whale and harpoon?"

Cheers,
