Hearing - Tue: Landis cross summary

Floyd feels bad about Lemond. Will had GL's phone number because they synced phones. The timeline is plausible. The communication with lawyers the next day was confused, but there is no smoking gun to be found.

Landis is inclined to make inflammatory comments on bulletin boards and to the press. He's human and gets mad when people badmouth him.

USADA didn't get some blood test results from the UCI, and it's Landis' fault, somehow. How those relate to this case is unclear, except for USADA's vaguely mentioned theory that testosterone use in the long term raises some parts of the blood profile. They've offerred no data for this, and apparently hoped these UCI records would help make their case for that.

Black clothes are next on the prohibited list. Sorry, Kiwis.

Not much here, and Barnett was given the job of digging to try to find some dirt. His heart didn't seem to be in it, proving he is human too.

Floyd Landis as the next Tony Soprano?
Of course if his cycling career doesn't work out.

Pretty boring testimony this AM - much ado anout nothing. Move along, nothing to see here, move along....

Never would have believed that before today. I know the justification for lawyers for what appears to be sleazy behavior to non-lawyers, but this guy oozed slime. And today it wasn't there. I have to believe that playing the bad guy has to eat at your soul, though.

Hey TBV,

RE: Hearing - Weds: ...

Isn't today TUE, or do we have an Exemption for hearings on Tuesdays? :-)

It seems to me that USADA has taken a beating the last two days. They have been unable to score any real points on cross the way Team Landis did against USADA's witnesses. The question of course remains the same as it has been since the start; does it matter who's case is more believable or is the decision already made?

1:34......Floyd has never been accused of taking steroids. What are you talking about?

The (TBV) highlighted site
Environmental Chemistry has a superb summary (not including yesterday's testimony) that really speaks to the abbismal "science" as practiced by LNDD and the inappropriate way USADA is using our public funds.
While I happen to support their point of view ..it does not seem biased and puts the emphasis of the case..where it must be ..on the science..not who knew what? and when? about phone calls..however, distateful.

for some reason i can't see the two canadian arbs finding landis not guilty, they seem to be too close to the usada/wada culture club. if they think landis is innocent, they would rather let cas make the final ruling in his favor on appeal. just a feeling, that's all.
