Hearing - Sat Morning

We're still milling about, with nothing happening.

Lots of camera in the hall hoping to catch arrivals, though, because TV always needs pictures of people walking around for the reported to talk over.

Some of the press people who want audio records have figured out to sit right under the speaker in the ceiling, with their voice recorders. And when it comes to adapters and miscellaneous parts and equipment, Ebay has it, often cheap.

The delay is apparently caused by a conference, perhaps about striking Lemond's testimony.

I don't expect to see the Landis testimony until 2:30 or 4:00, and it might spill into Monday. This is making all the electronic media grumble, because it's the worst possible time for them to get stories together and uploaded.

Attorneys approaching; McLaren goes in with Botre. Later, Brunet, finally Campbell.

Why would LeMond's testimony be stricken from the record? Just because Floyd fired that moron who was working for him?

Perhaps the delay is because Floyd Landis let the arbitrators know he would take the stand and be a man. Maybe he has decided to come clean and actually help the sport of cycling.

Is there a bio on the hearing examiners anywhere?

I did a bio of the Panel members in Part 2 of my series "Judging Floyd" here at TBV.

There was a motion to strike Lemond's testimony because they could not cross examine him because his attorney instructed him not to answer the Landis attorney questions and he refused. the Panel could not make him answer because they have no power to do so. Maybe in arbitration it is ok to hear one side and not allow the other side questioning. We will see.
