Thought for the Day
The president [George Bush] said [Ollie] North and his family have suffered enough and that the decision showed that the system works. But he would not comment on North's getting off on a technicality.
Prosecutors decided yesterday to drop the case against North, saying they would not be able to prove that North's trial was not influenced by testimony he gave to Congress under a grant of immunity.(It's hard to prove a negative.)

Hey guys, especially those of us who think of ourselves as athletes, although aging -- heart issues are in the news not only with EPO, but with NSAIDS -- non-steroidal anti-inflammatories. We are talking not only Vioxx, Celebrex, etc., but also Motrin, Advil, etc. The latter have also been linked over the last few weeks to potential clotting and heart issues. My spouse, at 50, is currently recovering from a multiple bypass. Since he has arthritic knees, he's been popping all of the above for close to 20 years.
His prognosis is good, but we are going to rethink the painkillers once he is up and about!
