News
The CyclingNews posts outgoing WADA president Dick Pound's response to the resignation and subsequent criticisms from former vice president Jean-Francois Lamour who asserts that there is an Anglo-Saxon conspiracy against him.

The Guardian Unlimited
reports that the creation of "biological passports" will be the main focus of WADA meetings to be held in Paris on Monday and Tuesday of next week. Funny how Pound thinks everyone should take his accusations at face value instead of "deny! deny! deny!"

But does he 'fess up when he's accused of something?

Deny! Deny! Deny!

Regarding Biological Passports:

WADA's proposal for the creation of "biological passports" should be the cause for great concern amongst the athletes that would be subjected to them. If, as has been amply demonstrated, WADA cannot handle the complexities of their current drug testing programs, then letting them initiate a testing program based on "biological passports", where the potential for errors and/or abuse absolutely beggars the imagination, is a very scary proposition indeed. Add to that WADA's "guilty until proven innocent" stance which largely throws the burden of proof onto the accused athlete and you have a formula for disaster that will rival, if not surpass, the Salem Witch Hunts for miscarriages of justice.
