Last year's Tour de France winner Floyd Landis is to have his name removed from the official list of Tour winners, the race director says.
"For us Floyd Landis is not the winner of the Tour de France 2006," Christian Prudhomme told the Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung.
He said Landis would also not appear in the various historical lists of winners, adding that the decision was not dependent on Landis's hearing in front of the American anti-doping agency next week.

ASO Drops their own bomb
An emailer sends us a link to World News Australia, saying the ASO is going to take away Landis's title no matter what comes out of the hearing:
What can you say? Ridiculous. They deprive themselves of having any shot at integrity. Way to go cycling "good old boy" network. Do they have a word for that in France?

We need compile a TdF list of winners/finishers/riders that excludes everyone accused of or that admitted "using." Some pretty important names on that list.
